What you do
Watch the worship and story video together (and learn the verse of the month!!)
Talk about each of the questions to keep the conversation going

Verse of the Month
Everyone (arms out)
who heard him (hands behind ears)
was amazed (hands around eyes like binoculars)
Luke 2:47 (hold hands like an open book)
God gave us the words of the Bible to show us who He is!
Practice the verse a few times! In Mission Kids, we often practice saying it different ways, like reallllyyyy sllowwwllyyyy, SUPER LOUD, or with a roar!
Talk it through together
Who did Jesus see when He was walking down the road? (A blind man)
What did Jesus do when He saw the blind man? (He spit on the ground and made mud.)
What did Jesus do with the mud? (He put it on the man’s eyes.)
What did Jesus tell the man to do? (Wash his face in the water.)
What happened after the man washed his eyes? (He could see.)
How do you think the man felt after Jesus helped him?
How do you feel when someone helps you?
Who is amazing? (Jesus is amazing!)
Pray Together
Pray together using the prayer below or your own.
“Dear God, thank you for giving us the best friend we could ever have! Thank You that Jesus is alive today and He wants to be (kiddos name) friend forever. Please help us never ever forget how amazing Jesus is. You’re the best, God, and we love you, very much. In Jesus’ name, amen.”
MAKE IT // ART ACTIVITY
What you need: Activity Page (view/print below or grab from your January Church Kit), and crayons.
What you do:
Have your kiddo close their eyes and draw a heart on the front of the page. How does it look?
Now draw a heart with your eyes open.
How does it look now?
Talk about the story of the blind man and how amazing it is that Jesus was able to heal him! That would have impacted his life so much!
MOVE IT // ACTIVE ACTIVITY
What you need: no materials needed
What you do:
Choose one person to go first.
Ask that person to close their eyes, and gently lead them to another section of the room.
Ask them to guess where they are in the room and then open their eyes.
Repeat the activity with everyone.
YOU DID IT!
Continue the conversation all week by reminding each other of all the ways God is amazing!
